At Norrmejerier in Umeå, an older production area was renovated to accommodate new milking robots. The project covered a total of 810 m² and required a complete upgrade of the existing flooring to meet modern production standards.

The original tiled surface was removed, after which new screeds were cast to create a stable foundation. The area was then fitted with a new, durable flooring system designed to withstand the demanding conditions of food production. The work was carried out by our partner, Lundquist Gruppen in Umeå.
To meet the high hygiene and durability requirements of the food industry, Flowcrete SR (6 mm, anti-slip) was installed. The floor was jointed with illbruck SP540 and has precision cut-outs around manholes, ensuring long-term performance and functionality. Flowcrete SR is particularly valued for its high chemical and thermal resistance, key properties in Norrmejerier’s production environment.
As a result, this flooring system has become the standard solution for renovating older surfaces within the facility. Experience shows that it offers the best combination of durability, safety, and ease of cleaning, making it well-suited to withstand the harsh conditions of daily operations.
