Solutions for Closed Panel Timber Frame

Build sustainably with modular solutions from Tremco CPG UK.

Closed Panel Timber Frame construction involves the fabrication of timber panels offsite, which are then delivered to the construction site and assembled into a complete structure. These panels are pre-insulated and closed, often featuring weather resistant barriers and vapour control layers.

This approach is widely recognised for its sustainability, energy efficiency, and reduced environmental impact. Prefabricating panels offsite allows for quicker construction times, reduced onsite labour, and a more controlled building environment, leading to fewer errors and less waste - making it ideal for residential, commercial, and low-rise projects, where high efficiency and speed are paramount.

Working in partnership with you, we help increase your Pre-Manufactured Value (PMV) and support DfMA by improving buildability and reducing on-site complexity.

Sealing, Bonding & Insulation (illbruck)

High-performance window sealing solutions, such as the illbruck i3 system, provide an externally weatherproof yet vapour‑permeable seal for timber frame construction. With its three functional levels - weather protection, airtightness, and insulation, the i3 sealing system prevents warm internal air from penetrating the joint and forming condensation, which can reduce thermal insulation performance and lead to damage of building components and mould formation.

Our advanced breather membranes, vapour control layers and structural adhesives are designed to integrate seamlessly into offsite timber frame manufacturing. These solutions provided by the Tremco CPG UK Offsite team prevent moisture ingress, promote energy efficiency, and ensure the long-term durability of closed panel systems, supporting sustainable and high performance buildings.
